The Daily Cup – Origins

When you have lunch or dinner today, focus on one item on your plate that comes from a plant or animal. Take a moment to imagine where that food item was just before arriving on your dish. Where was it just before that? And before? It does not matter if you do not know every detail of the actual process. Just imagine the journey, going all the way back in time when that vegetable, fruit, nut or meat was but a seed or cuddly little animal discovering the world for the first time. You don’t have to take a stand about any of it. Just enjoy the journey. The mere thought of it is quite fascinating. How much has this changed in time? How much has basically remained the same?

The Daily Cup – Silly, Silly You

You still laugh when the ketchup bottle makes a funny noise, don’t you? Admit it. Today, allow that child-like silliness to come out and play. Better yet, let children be your role models and if you feel compelled to proceed down the hallway to your office by skipping on an imaginary hopscotch print on the floor, so be it. Make a few funny faces in the mirror. Spin on your chair a few times when no one is looking. Find a funny cartoon to post on your fridge through the weekend. Draw a silly picture. We just made a silly face at you… your turn!
